ARIA Clinical Coordinating Center

The TNC has been selected as the co-leading Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) for the Aligning Research to Impact Autism (ARIA) Initiative for the Innovative Medicine and Precision Approaches to Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Network. This is an extraordinary opportunity for our team and our CCC colleagues at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) / Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). The CCC serves as the nucleus of the IMPACT Network, providing clinical research operations and administrative leadership and oversight. Through leadership of the CCC, the TNC will help support study design, recruitment and enrollment, infrastructure creation, and the standardization of workflows for future clinical studies and trials.

Raymond Belanger-Deloge

Raymond Belanger Deloge, MS, CGC

ARIA IMPACT Network Site Suppport and Outreach Manager

Mr. Belanger Deloge is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor. He completed his genetic counseling training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. With the TNC, he specializes in translational research for rare, genetic, neurodevelopmental disorders and facilitating partnerships between the TNC and Patient Advocacy Groups.

Stephanie Brewster

Stephanie Jo Brewster, MS, CGC

ARIA IMPACT Network Clinical Research Operations Director 

Stephanie Jo Brewster, MS, CGC serves as Director, Clinical Research Operations and Director, Genetic Counseling within the Rosamund Stone Zander and Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). She is a licensed genetic counselor with over 20 years of clinical research experience and has a longstanding interest in the ethical issues surrounding genetic and translational research and its impact on participating families. In her current and previous positions, Ms. Brewster has implemented and overseen numerous clinical research studies and trials providing guidance on protocol and consent form development, IRB facilitation, infrastructure creation and study staff supervision. She has acted as a consultant to biotech companies conducting clinical research, has served on numerous committees of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and other professional genetics organizations and served for 12 years on the Boston University School of Medicine Genetic Counseling Program Advisory Board. Ms. Brewster is a current member of the BCH Institutional Review Board and a strategic advisor to the Developmental Medicine Clinical Research Laboratories at BCH. Ms. Brewster received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Syracuse University and her Master of Science degree in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College.

Maya Chopra

Maddie Cedrone, MHA, BS

ARIA IMPACT Network Administrative Manager

Maddie Cedrone, MHA, BS is the Program Administration Manager in the Rosamund Stone Zander and Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC) at Boston Children’s Hospital. In her role, she supports the Clinical Research and Administrative Operations for the TNC. Maddie is the Administrative Manager for the ARIA IMPACT Network Clinical Coordinating Center. Maddie received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Public Health and Wellness from Curry College in 2021 and her Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Boston College in 2023.

Maya Chopra

Maya Chopra, MBBS, FRACP

ARIA IMPACT Network Genetic Medicine Director

Dr. Maya Chopra, MBBS, FRACP is a Clinical Geneticist at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. She is an expert in the delineation of rare neurodevelopment syndromes, and the translational pipeline to therapeutic development for such conditions. Dr. Chopra obtained her medical qualifications from the University of New South Wales in in 2000, and her specialty qualifications the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Human Genetics Society of Australasia in 2010. Dr Chopra has experience in practicing Clinical Genetics and leading research and educational programs in a range of healthcare systems and cultural settings, having held positions at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney, Australia), Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital (Shanghai, China) and The Imagine Institute for Genetic Disease (Paris, France). In her current role at BCH, Dr. Chopra serves as Medical Co-Director of Neurogenetics and Neurodevelopment Section in the Department of Neurology, Attending Physician in Genetics & Genomics and Director of Translational Genomic Medicine at the Translational Neuroscience Center. She serves as a Chair of the ClinGen Intellectual Disability /Autism Gene Curation Expert Panel and site Principal Investigator of the National Brain Gene Registry. Dr. Chopra leads natural history programs for a range of disorders including Chopra-Amiel-Gordon Syndrome, MED13L Syndrome and the RNU-related Disorders, in close partnership with patient advocacy organizations.

Alex Cohen Headshot

Alexander Cohen, MD, PhD

ARIA IMPACT Network Data Coordination Director

Dr. Cohen is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. In addition to his work with ARIA, he is also the Director of the Data Organization Collaborative Service for the Rosamund Stone Zander Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center at BCH. In these capacities, he oversees large-scale data integration and harmonization efforts to accelerate discovery in Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.Dr. Cohen received his B.A. in Biology and Biomedical Physics and his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, completed residency training in pediatrics and child neurology at Mayo Clinic, and clinical and postdoctoral research fellowships at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has been a member of the faculty at BCH since 2018 and currently sees patients within the Brain, Mind, and Behavior Center and the Autism Spectrum Center. As Director of the Laboratory of Translational Neuroimaging, his research focuses on bedside-to-bedside translation: leveraging lesion network mapping and pharmaco-fMRI to identify the causal neural circuits underlying symptoms of autism and ADHD that could serve as targets for non-invasive neuromodulation, e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation and real-time fMRI neurofeedback. His research has been supported by the NIMH, the Child Neurology Foundation, the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI), and the TSC Alliance.

Kira Dies, ScM, CGC

Kira A. Dies, ScM, CGC

ARIA IMPACT Network Study Operations Director

Ms. Dies received her ScM in Genetic Counseling in 2003 from a joint program through Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the National Human Genome Research Institute. She is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor in Massachusetts. She has worked in various roles at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), including Senior Genetic Counseling Program Manager and Co-Director of Clinical Research Operations of the Translational Neuroscience Center. In January 2021, she was named Executive Director of the new Rosamund Stone Zander and Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center at BCH. In 2024, Ms. Dies completed a fellowship in bioethics at the Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics. She is an Ethics Associate on the Ethics Advisory Committee and an Affiliate of the HMS Center for Bioethics. Additionally, she is a clinical instructor at the Boston University School of Medicine Genetic Counseling Graduate Program where she co-teaches the ethics curriculum. She is also a faculty member of the Boston Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) Program. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for the CureAP4 hereditary spastic paraplegia patient advocacy organization. She is on the Board of Directors and serves as Treasurer for New England Regional Genetics Group (NERGG). She co-directs the Research Subcommittee of the Neuroscience Family Advisory Council at BCH. She also volunteers as an activity coordinator for Special Olympics in Massachusetts.

Kira Dies, ScM, CGC

Shannon Gampala-Sagar, MPH

ARIA IMPACT Network Assistant Data Coordination Director

Shannon earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health in 2023 and her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Cognitive Science, from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2017. With over eight years of experience in clinical research and data management, Shannon has led and contributed to large-scale genetics studies at Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her research interests include cognitive science, neurobiology, neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. Shannon currently works with Dr. Alex Cohen on ARIA within the Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) as the Assistant Data Coordination Director. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new cafés with friends and traveling.

Suzanne Lemoine, MA

Suzanne Lemoine, MA

ARIA IMPACT Network Regulatory Manager

Suzanne M. Lemoine is the Clinical Research Regulatory Manager at the Rosamund Stone Zander and Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is also the Regulatory Manager for the ARIA IMPACT Clinical Coordinating Center (BCH). She brings more than 13 years of experience in clinical research and has a sustained interest in how research affects families and communities. Before joining Boston Children’s Hospital, she spent nearly eight years at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she built and managed a research portfolio that included investigator-initiated, sponsor-initiated, and central IRB studies focused on enhancing clinical care and quality of life for patients with cancer. Across both her current and prior roles, Ms. Lemoine has led and supported numerous clinical research studies and trials, with responsibilities spanning protocol and informed consent development, IRB submissions and study maintenance, and oversight of study staff. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of New Brunswick in Canada.

ARIA IMPACT Network Regulatory Specialist

Marena Neggers is a Regulatory Compliance Specialist for the Rosamund Stone Zander and Hansjoerg Wyss Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC). She received her BS in Health Sciences and Biology and Master of Public Health from Boston University. In her position, she works on study start up, site initiation, and regulatory maintenance. Marena has 5 years of clinical research experience working as a Human Research Quality Manager at Boston University and as a Research Coordinator at MGH.

Mustafa Sahin

Mustafa Sahin, MD, PhD

ARIA IMPACT Network Co-PI

Dr. Sahin is the Rosamund Stone Zander Chair Professor of Neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. In addition to his roles as founder and Managing Director of our Center, Dr. Sahin is the Rosamund Stone Zander Professor at Boston Children’s Hospital, Co-Director of the IDDRC (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center), and Director of the Translational Research Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. In 2023, Dr. Sahin was elected to the National Academy of Medicine. As a physician-scientist, he runs a laboratory focused on investigating the basic mechanisms by which nerve cells communicate with one another. He also cares for children with neurogenetic conditions such as tuberous sclerosis.

Brian Winklosky, MA

ARIA IMPACT Network Senior Clinical Research Program Manager

Brian Winklosky is excited to join the join the ARIA IMPACT Network as a Senior Clinical Research Program Manager, bringing over 25 years of experience in developing and supporting multi-site research initiatives focused on neurodevelopmental disorders. Before joining the Boston Children’s Hospital IMPACT Clinical Coordinating Center team, Brian spent 20 years at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he developed and managed a research portfolio comprising collaborative, interdisciplinary networks aimed at improving clinical care and quality of life for children with autism and their families. Brian values strong leadership, clear communication and has a long history in enhancing research infrastructures, fostering collaborative partnerships, and is dedicated to advancing clinical research and improving healthcare outcomes through his commitment to excellence and innovation in the field.
