Clinical Research Fellowship

The Rosamund Stone Zander Translational Neuroscience Center at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), in partnership with patient advocacy organizations, aims to advance clinical trial readiness for rare neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), in particular those with an underlying mechanism of haploinsufficiency. We are seeking to recruit a clinical research fellow with a neurogenetics and/or neurodevelopmental background (MD, PhD or MD/PhD) dedicated to leading a natural history study on rare NDDs.

Research Assistant, Human Neuron Core

A research assistant position is available with a flexible start date between March and June 2024 within the Human Neuron Core at Boston Children’s Hospital. The individual will join a fast-paced team that utilizes human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC)-derived neurons to model neurological disease. The research assistant will be trained on multiple techniques to support core projects, including culturing iPSCs, differentiating neurons, and characterizing the neurons using cutting-edge technologies.

Clinical Research Assistant, Neurological Biorepository

A research assistant position is available with a flexible start date before July 2024 within the Neurological Biorepository at Boston Children’s Hospital. The Rosamund Stone Zander Translational Neuroscience Center maintains a Biorepository to facilitate procurement of samples from patients and family members with neurological disorders. Patient samples are collected so that researchers can better understand the genetic and cellular mechanisms that may be involved in neurological diagnoses. The Biorepository Clinical Research Assistant is responsible for project management and organization as it relates to recruiting and consenting patients, processing samples, distributing samples and updating Institutional Review Board protocols.

Clinical Research Assistant, Neurobiology Department

A research assistant position is available within the Neurobiology Department at Boston Children’s Hospital. Under immediate supervision, this role will coordinate the activities of daily operations of clinical research studies, be responsible for the screening, consenting, recruitment, and selection of patients for studies, and prepares IRB and/or CCI documentation and submissions in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and /or other members of the research team. This position will conducts data collection activities and prepare analytical reports regarding the results of studies.
