Boston Infantile Spasms Symposium

Boston Children’s Hospital through the Infantile Spams (IS) Program and other research groups have been at the forefront of the outstanding clinical care and research productivity related to IS. The sharing of research and promising treatments through this forum has the potential to lead to greater collaborations and novel discoveries, more so than by teams working in silos. The BCH Infantile Spasms Symposium will be a one-day gathering bringing together the clinical and research efforts related to IS from BCH and the Greater Boston area.

The goals are to:

  1. Disseminate recent clinical and translational IS-related research results from BCH faculty and from our colleagues locally to pediatric neurologists and basic science researchers at BCH and surrounding institutions,
  2. Foster a connected and cohesive IS-related research network within BCH, and
  3. Develop new collaborative clinical and translational IS-related research projects with BCH and the surrounding institutions.

The symposium is being led by Drs. Chellamani Harini and Chris Yuskaitis and sponsored by the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Center (IDDRC) and the Rosamund Stone Zander Translational Neuroscience Center.
